We delivered 35 pounds of food to the Denton Community Food Center. They were very grateful for our contribution and will include us as a community partner on their website making them our second community partner. (The Free Little Library being our first community partner). Thank you to all who have donated can good and other foods. Your gift is appreciated.
The Denton Community Food Center is run by an all volunteer staff so that all contributions can go directly to those who are in need. There are no salaries to be paid and very little overhead expenses as they are housed in the Schmitz family building. They do pay for some utilities and minor expenses. But that leaves the majority of donations for helping others. They are very happy to have us as a partner.
