We have completed the 2020-2022 Update of First Church of Christ Scientist, Denton

The chairs are in, the sound system has been updated, the foyer furniture arrived, and all bills have been paid.  We are done with this update and all are so very grateful!

Please join us on a Wednesday night testimony meeting, Saturday morning reading room time or Sunday morning service.  We would love to give you a tour.

After the snow storm and freezing weather passed this week,  we discovered that there where broken pipes at our church on 402 Texas Street in Denton.  Members began immediately turning off the water and trying to clean up the mess.  But there was just too much water.  Saturday morning several member decided to meet at the building to see what could be done.  A young man just passing by, volunteered to help.  He spent the next 4 hours with the group removing pews, throwing out sopping carpet pad, and mopping up.  We were so grateful for his help.  It has been a church goal to put effort into loving our neighbor.  But Saturday, WE were loved by a neighbor.  Thank you, friend!

(Hello and welcome!  On this page, a locally produced Christian Science service will be available to listen to on the First Sunday of each month.  The service is provided by Christian Science churches in the North Texas area, and includes a lesson-sermon read from the Christian Science pastor, which is two books: the Bible, and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy.  The service also includes music, prayer, and other readings.  You can see the order of the service further down on this page.  We invite you to join us on these first Sundays to hear the entire service.)
